Iberostar Playa Mita, Puerto Vallarta

Hey Maria & Bill!!!

So we are back home from Mexico sadly! That was seriously the best week of our lives!! The resort was amazing, super beautiful, and really good food! The beach was also beautiful and had clean, blue water! I don’t think anyone in our group had a single complaint about anything at the resort!

The wedding day went perfectly, and the gazebo was so beautiful. Everyone working the wedding was professional and and knew exactly what they were doing. Everything turned out even better than I couldn’t have imagined.

In short, I would highly recommend the resort for groups and weddings!! We all can’t wait to go back!! I’ll attach some pictures below!

So thanks again to the both of you for making our dream wedding a reality!!! I’m so glad we did this and am so happy that we chose you guys to help us through it all!! Thanks again :)

Dear Bill and Maria

Thank you so much for helping us organize our dream wedding. You guys made everything easier for us. Thank you for the wonderful and detailed website, thank you for communicating with all the guest and also communicating to my wedding coordinator to avoid miscommunication. We had a stress free wedding, it was a beautiful trip and a dream come true. Everyone had a great time. It was organized and planned perfectly.

I wouldn’t know what to do without having an awesome travel agent who were dedicated and very helpful at any time of the day. Whether it be early morning or late at night, you guys still manage to respond to my questions. You guys are awesome! We are grateful that we had you guys as our travel agents. -Lalaine and Joash

I posted our wedding on the destination wedding page on Facebook and people have been asking for our TA so hopefully more people will come to you guys :)

Iberostar Playa Mita, Puerto Vallarta – Wedding at Las Caletas

Hi Bill and Maria!

Wow, sorry this took me so long to get back to. We’ve been working a ton since being home and getting back into our routine.

Our entire trip went off without a hitch! Our guests/family/Tyler and I had a blast at the first resort. Although a bit off the beaten path, we loved the food, the rooms and close proximity to the ocean. We adored the staff! Everyone went out of their way to help us at all times, and our entire wedding group had a blast. Almost the entire group was able to make it into Sayulita (Only a 15 minute drive!) or PV for a visit and some shopping, otherwise we were all at the swim up bar or hopping waves in the ocean. Ty and I were so sad to see everyone go!

The wedding was indescribable. I think everyone will be talking about this one for a while, it was one of a kind (And there were no random people in bikinis in our photos haha!). I slightly regret not bringing my own photographer so I would suggest to your next Las Caletas clients that they really think about it. I know you suggested a photographer to us and we decided we’d go the “easy” route and use their photographer on the island. Although he was very sweet and he got some good shots, we still ended up paying a lot of money for a limited amount of time and photos. Besides that, the food was amazing. The decor was flawless. Our wedding planner Andreea was amazing! She kept everyone on track, and at the end of the night made sure all of our personal belongings and wedding decor were accounted for and packed up. They really are a well oiled machine!

Our honeymoon was relaxing! We really enjoyed the Hyatt, and lucked out on a great swim out suite which was also ocean front. The al a carte restaurants at this location were awesome, we really enjoyed the italian and asian restaurants. The staff aren’t as interactive, but there were a ton of activities we could’ve taken part in if we weren’t napping and swimming the entire time!

Thank you so much for all of your help! We wouldn’t change a thing about our trip and we’ve made so many memories!!

Hi Bill & Maria,

We had such an amazing trip. Las Caletas was everything we ever dreamed of and more! Everything ran very smoothly and went as good as it could have! I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a destination wedding.

Hi Bill & Maria,

Tyler and I want to thank you both so much for all of your hard work over the past almost 1.5 years that went into planning our wedding. We appreciate all of the extra time and effort that you put toward helping us book (and rebook lol) our guests.

Working with you Maria was more like having a travel agent and wedding planner rolled all into one. Thank you for always taking the time to answer any question or help solve any issues.

Your generous gift of the second set of wedding invitations and our engagement photo session was above and beyond anything that we expected and we appreciated them immensely.

Our wedding was absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have pulled it all together without you.

That being said, I thought that I would give you a quick review of the resort for any future weddings or bookings. We have absolutely no complaints about the resort. Every member of the staff was amazing, from the front desk to the entertainment staff. My nephew and niece were on a first name basis with Marco, Charly (Carlos), Marcelo, etc and I cannot say enough good things about how wonderful they were with all of the kids (and adults) in our group.

Adriana and Samual were very easy to work with and the wedding day was amazing with no issues. The flowers, food, decor, and location of the wedding were perfect. Not only were we gifted with the free cocktail hour for the date mix up but we were given the 8 piece Mariachi band for the price of the 3 pieces that we originally booked. (we even had whales jumping in the ocean in front of the resort right after the ceremony.) We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding. The resort photographer Marion also did an amazing job with our photos, we are extremely happy with how they turned out.

The resort itself was beautiful, and although we had a few cool and cloudy days the weather was great for the most part too. I am very picky and was very worried about the guests enjoying the resort and wedding (in case you didn’t notice lol) and I don’t have one single complaint. We were upgraded to an ocean front room as well, which was perfect and our Westjet plus seating upgrade was a great treat :)

Thank you both again, for everything! Hopefully, we will get to work with you again for future travel bookings and will gladly recommend your services to any friends or family :)

Hi! It was amazing! The weather could have been better. It rained 3 evenings, actually storming on Thursday! But it was all very short-lived. It drizzled a little the day of our wedding, just enough to give a rainbow :)

It was cloudy the day of the wedding as well, but that’s better for photos and oh my gosh did we ever get some nice photos. The photographer was amazing! I would definitely recommend him to others. Not only did he get amazing photos, but he was very personable as well. I really wanted a sunset and was worried about the clouds. But, hoooooly did we get a sunset. I’ll attach some pics. These aren’t the pictures from the photographer though.

The dinner was delicious! Oh my gosh. I wish I could have eaten more! When Cody and I were done with pictures my first priority was to try some of the appetizers at the cocktail hour. My dad has a very nice photo of us and my napkin of appetizers! Lol.

Adriana and Sam were incredibly helpful. Of course, a bride is always kind of nervous about how the ceremony and day will progress, but I did not have to! They had it covered.

The resort itself was very nice. Very isolated though. There were no other resorts along the beach. It looked like maybe abandoned or under construction. Also, I think because we were outside of the bay, it was very windy and the waves were huge! There was only one day we had a green flag to swim in the ocean. Also, the beach was pretty rocky.

All of the a la cartes and the buffet were so good. We almost didn’t even need the a la cartes because of the variety of food at the buffet! The staff was all very nice.

I’ve already had someone ask me about how I went about planning my destination wedding and gave them your contact info. Hope that’s Okay!!

Thank you both so much for everything! You’ve been incredibly helpful and patient!

Hi Maria,

The wedding was fabulous. It was the only day down there that it didn’t rain. It was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the resort. The water park was a hit! Food was good, lots of activities. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks so much for all your help!

Royal Caribbean Rhapsody of the Seas – Montenegro Wedding Ceremony

Hi Bill and Maria,

Thanks so much! The wedding was great, Handan pulled it all together and was able to reschedule. The flowers needed sprucing up which made for an additional fee but that’s understandable given the change in date.

The venue, food, and officiant were exactly as hoped, the violinist played the requested song(s), he wasn’t there very long but really added to the wedding and played beautifully.

Transport was arranged with a pretty fancy speedboat which guests really enjoyed.

We’re looking forward to pictures, the photographer was friendly and had some great ideas on poses, he seemed to have the vision and be skilled at his job.

There are definitely some things that didn’t go so well but overall the end result and day itself was wonderful and as we had hoped. Some of it you already know about, communication didn’t flow as easily, the contract wasn’t finalized and Montenegro weddings changed its mind on the agreed upon way to settle the payments.

I would actually recommend them to future couples (as long as they’re ok with someone more laid back and informal) – it was clear during the day that Handan had reviewed the information, pictures I had sent and was following our suggestions.

Even the food had some of the details we had talked about, staff did a great job explaining what everything was, was friendly and so forth, it was delicious and personable – no cruise dinner could have competed with the quality, uniqueness, and freshness of the food that was served.

It is a stunning location plus we had a sunny summery day, great lighting for pictures, beautiful scenery – we are very happy with it ending up being Kotor.

Royal Caribbean Cruise:

Some staff members on the ship were absolutely great (Elaine!) but I do hope that this trip encourages improvement in some other areas including booking services and supporting onshore weddings. We had a difficult time purchasing additional services that would add to the wedding day.

The cake turned out delicious (big as expected but nicely decorated and tasty)

We had a beautiful wedding and saw some really neat places along the way, the cruise was good once it got started – split instead of Mykonos and Corfu was unfortunate but it was an enjoyable stop.

This one probably goes down in the books as least predictable wedding lol!

Thanks for your work with us, Maria and Bill! :)) it all fell into place, thank you for your piece in that :)

Wedding @ RIU Ocho Rios Resort, Jamaica

Hi Maria,

Well I don’t know what to say other then we had the best week ever! Everything was perfect, the wedding, the beach, the pools, the weather was beautiful… everyone had an amazing time now we’re all having the blues back in Canada haha!

It was an unbelievable time, everyone had an awesome week!! I thanked you guys in our speech even though you weren’t there but definitely needed to be mentioned as you have helped me so much, you were basically our travel agents & wedding coordinator!! Thank you for everything again!

My cousin Troy said that his girlfriend’s parents thought you were so helpful in getting Brooklyn booked for our trip that they booked a different trip through you as well or are thinking about it? That’s great! We are already missing Jamaica, the people, the resort, beach, pool, entertainment, food & fancy drinks so much! It’ll be hard the next trip we go on not having all the same 95 people with us!

The wedding was soooo perfect, the tent on the beach was beautiful, the roof was somewhat see through so people on the balcony at the bar/entertainment area kept watching our dance party down below and cheering it was so fun. The DJ played for close to an extra hour longer then we was paid for lol the bouquets were so nice and they even added in some coral flowers to match the bridesmaids dresses.. everyone said they loved the meal and we ended up getting a 3 tier wedding cake that we didn’t expect (wasn’t supposed to be included in the package) but it was delicious!! I could go on and on but i need to get to bed!

Thank you,

Wedding @ Dreams Villamagna Resort, PVR

Hi Maria and Bill,

I apologize that I am just now getting back to you. Things have been beyond hectic since we’ve got back from Mexico. Everything went perfect!!! I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything different. Carmen was beyond amazing the day of the wedding. Every little detail was in place the day of and she made sure that we were happy the entire time.

The weather was amazing and I can honestly say we had the best day down there of our wedding. It wasn’t too hot, no clouds or haze, wasn’t windy at all. I’ll attach some pictures so you can see the day we had. I would recommend that if anyone goes down for their wedding that they do it at the beginning of their trip so they aren’t doing meetings or getting things organized while everyone is there. We were able to spend time and relax with all the guests for the remainder of the week.

If anyone has any questions about Dreams I would be more than happy to answer any that you may receive. Everyone had a ball and time of their life and I wish it didn’t fly by as fast as it did.

Wedding @ Grand Sunset Princess Resort, Mayan Riviera

Hey Maria!

The wedding was wonderful! Denys was really great and made the day so stress free we have zero complaints about her or the day! She also says “hi!”. They set up everything the way we wanted, the only unfortunate thing was it was so windy on the beach that our centerpieces couldn’t be lit :( oh well haha if that’s our biggest issue during the day I think we’re golden. The dance party on the beach was fantastic. The DJ was super good, definitely knew how to mix in the old with the new to get everyone dancing. The dance floor was never empty so it was money well spent!

Also if anyone asks you for a photographer, you should definitely give them BLF as a name. Bond was fabulous, he fit in with our group so well! He was part of the family the whole week, took my cousin fishing with him, went on the catamaran excursion all while maintaining his professionalism and capturing the moments. We can’t say enough great things about him!

The resort was good everyone had a great time which is impressive for so many people, ages and personalities. The staff in general were all very friendly and we didn’t have any issues with language, beaches were beautiful, they had these food carts at the pool (one with hot dogs/burgers, the other with tacos…OMG sooooo good) I actually delayed my makeup start on the wedding day to get me some tacos!! Lol. It was actually a running joke if people were looking for me, they could count on me getting tacos at some point haha.

We can’t thank you guys enough for all your help! I don’t know how we would’ve pulled it all off without your help. People kept asking how we came about our decisions etc and I just said “Maria was amazing she kept me sane!” Lol. Well send you pictures once we get them :)

Thank you times a million!!!

Hi Maria and Bill,

We would like to thank you for everything….. our dream wedding was really a dream!

The Palladium was beautiful, the food and weather were amazing and our wedding was perfect! We could not have asked for a more perfect setting. Absolutely nothing went wrong at all. All the family members and friends could not believe how beautiful and fun the wedding was as well as our holiday. Our children all had a blast!

Les and I were moved to the Mayan Suite right in front of the ocean and right beside the wedding ceremony and beach bash! Could not have asked for a better room – it was amazing. All the staff treated us well and were so kind and friendly.

We loved Nidia. She was so kind and we could feel that she cared for our wedding. Nidia was amazing!! Loved her!

The Grand Palladium Resort – Mayan Riviera Wedding!

Hi Maria & Bill,

Andrew and I got home on Sunday night well rested and relaxed after a great vacation. The wedding was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Elsa and the hotel staff were great. I’m still excited about how much fun we had.

The venues were beautiful and the flower arrangements were the biggest arrangements I’ve literally ever seen. The meal was exactly as we wanted and Elsa was so helpful making the adjustments we wanted to the menu.

Thank you so much for all your help getting us organized and helping us plan our wedding and trip! I have to say I really enjoyed planning the wedding and having you help with the communication between us and the hotel made it very stress-free for me – although the I anticipate that is a lot of work for you.

I can’t say enough good things about the whole experience. I would definitely recommend a wedding at the Grand Palladium and your services to anyone who asks me!

We still haven’t gotten our photos back from the photographer yet but I attached a fun little picture my friend got for you guys to see!

Thanks,

Moon Palace Resort – Cancun Wedding!

Hi Maria!

We had an amazing time, the resort was awesome and everyone enjoyed their stay. I think Moon Palace ruined the All Inclusive experience for the first timers including myself, it’ll be hard to top this resort, lol.

The wedding services at Moon Palace were very accommodating, and we were very happy with the coordinators. It actually started pouring rain during the reception, but the staff were quick to move the party to the gazebo without any disturbance or complications.

I would definitely recommend Moon Palace to any couple looking for a destination wedding location, especially if children are coming.

Las Vegas Wedding at Bali Hai Golf Club, Cili Restaurant!

Hi Maria and Bill!

Las Vegas Wedding at: Bali Hai Golf Club, Cili Restaurant

The wedding was UNBELIEVABLE! All of our guests said they had never seen such a beautiful wedding venue, and the wedding ran so smoothly. We didn’t have to do a thing, besides eat, drink and smile for pictures. If you have any clients looking for a Vegas wedding in the future, I would 1000% recommend this venue. It is worth every penny.

Our photographers were from M Place Productions, both were amazing. Just letting you know in case you have clients asking about that in the future as well.

Our Sandals Ochi Beach Honeymoon was also unbelievable! Like i said to you over an email, I could have cried when we first showed up. The other resorts we’ve stayed at didn’t even compare. Spending 10 days was perfect. The food was phenomenal and so was the service. We are definitely hooked on Sandals resorts now. We met a few other couples that we are hoping to go to a different Sandals resort with next year. I’ll send some pictures once I get everything downloaded onto my computer :)

We also can’t thank you guys enough, you were so helpful throughout the whole process, even when we were in Jamaica and I couldn’t access our return flight info.

Thanks!

Grand Marival Resort & Las Caletas Wedding, Puerto Vallarta

Hi Bill and Maria!

We had the best week in Puerto Vallarta!!! The Grand Marival was absolutely perfect for a group. It was so easy to find one another, we were constantly bumping into family and friends. It was just the perfect size. We had a beautiful suite with some nice perks on our wedding day which we really appreciated. The food was good, the beach was beautiful and the resort was extremely kid friendly which the families with kids really enjoyed. It was the perfect choice for our group!

The wedding day was nothing short of magical. Everybody (including ourselves) kept telling us they felt like they were in a movie. It was truly incredible. Every detail was looked after and it all came together perfectly.

We couldn’t have asked for a better day. The food was amazing, our ceremony was perfect and the scenery was out of this world. We don’t have professional photos back yet of course, but we have a few nice ones from family and friends which I have attached. We are so happy that we chose a destination wedding, especially at Las Caletas. (Although our unmarried guests said we ruined it for everyone, as no wedding will ever be as nice as ours! Whoops!!)

Thank you so much for all your help in the planning process, we couldn’t have done it without you! (And it was so much less stressful thanks to you!!)

Grand Sirenis Resort Wedding, Mayan Riviera

Hi Maria & Bill,

It took most of yesterday, but we’re all feeling more rested today and are tackling the mountains of laundry!

Our trip was amazing! We had such a blast and have had positive feedback from absolutely everyone that came with us. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous from start to finish, other than all of us sweaty people lol, and it was without a doubt one of the best days of our lives!!

Terry and I are so thankful we had you both to help us plan this trip and our special day, we could not have asked for better travel agents. Anyone who has asked we have been telling them how amazing you both are and many of our guests were telling us how great their experience in having any questions answered was.

I think my only complaint was that the majority of the rooms were not ready when we arrived, which was not a huge deal but we felt that our room at least should have been ready to go as I ended up dragging my dress around for 2 hours. Other than that everything was great!

We paid a little extra to have all of the photographer’s pictures, we would love to share them with you both sometime.

Thank you again for everything!!

Now Amber Resort – Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Wow, being home sure is bitter sweet! My skin is sure missing the warm weather at the moment!!

The wedding was AMAZING. Honestly, coming from a perfectionist, it was perfect. I had prepared myself that some things may not happen or they may forget but Lorena went above and beyond with little details. Everything was on time and on schedule.

Riley went golfing the morning of the wedding (which was a good thing – kept him occupied). Us girls got our hair and make-up done at the Spa and it was great. They really know what their doing and take the time to make sure you like it. Our Ceremony was at the Gazebo and walking down the aisle to cheers and clapping was as exhilarating as I thought it would be! We had our cocktail hour and Reception on the pool deck and the food was fabulous! They could have had a few more staff but how would they know we would drink so much!?

The Now Amber itself is an amazing property. I haven’t been to PV before but you can easily tell it is the nicest there. The staff are super knowledgable and the food was amazing! I would highly recommended the property for just travel or weddings.

Our overall experience was great! We definitely made the right choice about going away and we’re so happy with everything!

Thank you again for all of your help through the process! :)

Beach Palace Resort, Cancun

We were very happy with the entire destination wedding process, Bill and Maria walked us through what needed to be done, and they took care of all the details of booking the vacation package. We had a total of 25 people in our group, and our guests all had positive things to say about booking their trip, as it was easy and straightforward.

We went with an Air Canada Vacations package, and the resort we chose was Beach Palace in Cancun, Mexico. We were amazed at how smoothly the wedding went, everything the resort promised came true! This resort had a lovely on-site wedding planner who met with us to make sure all the details were finalized, and then attended the wedding itself to ensure everything went as planned.

We had our ceremony on the beach, which had breathtaking views. We then had a cocktail hour and private wedding dinner on the resort’s rooftop terrace, which included a lit-up pool, and again amazing views of the ocean below. The resort even designed a special wedding cocktail for our group to try! All of our guests had a lovely time at the resort and at the wedding.

Bill and Maria really helped us navigate what could have been a complicated and challenging process, and really made it simple and worry-free. Bill and Maria did all the work of booking everyone’s flights and vacation packages, and our guests could go to them with any questions that came up about the flights and resort. It was a wonderful trip and wedding, and we’d recommend Bill and Maria to anyone wanting the benefits of a destination wedding without any hassle!

Thank you, Gail & Todd, Wedding Date: January, 2015

Grand Palladium Resort – Jamaica

Hi Maria,

The wedding was excellent and the resort was amazing! Our wedding coordinator was great and everything went as planned. We would definitely go back this resort. We didn’t hear any complaints from our guest. Sounded like everyone had a great time. We would definitely recommend this resort to people for their wedding. Thanks to you and bill for all your hard work and making the planning so easy. It was great!

Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort – Mayan Riviera

After Justin proposed we knew right away that we wanted to have a destination wedding. We had a few general ideas as to where we wanted our wedding and what type of budget we would like to maintain, but we knew we needed help. We contacted a few companies that specialized in destination weddings to obtain quotes, all which had their own opinions about our wedding and prices far outside our desired budget. We felt very discouraged at this time, worried that our dream destination wedding was outside the realm of possibility. Luckily, it was at this time we found Bill and Maria’s travel agency.

Bill and Maria welcomed us into their own home and took the time to sit down with us and listen to what we wanted for our wedding. With their experience, they were able to recommend several destinations that offered what we were looking for and within our budget! We finally decided on the Grand Palladium Kantenah, and this was only the beginning of their helpfulness in our wedding planning process.

Maria was always readily available, friendly and prompt with her responses throughout the months of planning to the wedding. Often going above and beyond what was expected to help me. For example, Bill and Maria had the opportunity to visit the same resort before our wedding and they were more than willing to take photographs of the different wedding locations the resort offered so I would have a better idea. One thing I really liked about having Bill and Maria was how quickly my questions were answered. I had spoken to other brides dealing directly with the wedding coordinators at the resort and sometimes they would have to wait weeks for responses, Maria usually had a response for me the same day and if not she gave me a timeframe as to when I could expect and answer. They also recommended our amazing photographer Mark Willis, which I cannot thank them enough for!

Having Bill and Maria available was an indispensable resource. Being a bride, I had enough on my mind, it was wonderful to have Bill and Maria to not only help me in my planning but to also be readily available to assist and answer the questions of our guests. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone planning a destination wedding!

We are also very happy with the services provided by Air Transat, they made us feel like special guests right from the start of our trip. This welcoming feeling continued at the Grand Palladium Kantenah. We absolutely loved everything about the resort; the staff was friendly, the resort was clean, the food was great and the beaches were beautiful! The resort was so large with so many different things to do, it really had something for everyone. Our wedding had a very diverse group of guests and we received many compliments for choosing this resort!

The wedding day went perfectly. The wedding coordinators really handle everything for you, all you have to do is show up and enjoy your big day because their team will take care of all the details for you! We thought our beach ceremony was very well done, the vows we made were beautiful. Our private reception at the La Laguna restaurant was wonderful; it was really decorated well and the dinner was delicious! We partied the rest of the night away at our private beach bash, it really was a blast and all our guests had a memorable night! We are so happy with the way everything turned out and will cherish the memories forever!

Grand Palladium Resort Wedding, Mayan Riviera

Right from the start, Bill and Maria were patient with me as I was a very indecisive bride to be. I wanted everything to be perfect with our group planning right down to the wedding day, and let me tell you that they listened to what we were looking for and offered many suggestions. If they had no answer they didn’t stop till they found one.

We decided upon The Grand Palladium Resort and Spa in the Mayan Riviera and it exceeded any expectations we had. The staff at the resort was very friendly and extremely accommodating to our needs. Throughout the many emails back and forth over the year, we got to the day where we were hoping on the plane and on our way to Mexico.

When the wedding day came they reassured us that if we needed anything, they were there to help. All the last minute decisions were a breeze and the Wedding Planner Grace was fantastic. Maria became like a friend to us, she is definitely not your “typical” travel agent.

I would recommend Bill and Maria at The Traveling Agent to my friends and family as well as give them a call after we have this baby to start planning our next vacation.

Hey Bill & Maria!

Thank you! We had an amazing time! The wedding was great, everyone had so much fun, and the resort was awesome too!

I would totally recommend it to others for a destination wedding. We had a few hiccups (the weather lol!). It rained a few of the days we were there, including the day we were supposed to get married! The wedding coordinator and her staff were so nice and helpful and let us change the wedding to the next day to accommodate for the bad weather. The food at the wedding was amazing too, everyone kept talking about it, and the cake was really good too. I wasn’t actually expecting it to be as nice as it was lol.

The flights went smoothly too, Corey and I got tons of special treatment since we were the only bride and groom on the flight, it was pretty cool!

The resort turned out to be perfect actually. Like I mentioned before, it rained quite a bit of the first week, but the resort had a huge lobby in the main area with tons of stuff to do so no one was ever bored which was really nice. The food was really good, and the beach really wasn’t as bad as the reviews I had read. There was some seaweed, but the water was blue and warm! It wasn’t perfectly clear, but it was still much prettier than anything here!

Anyways, we had a blast, and thanks for all your help with organizing it! I keep telling everyone I know to have a destination wedding, it was so much fun!

Las Caletas Island Wedding – Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Everything went great, two weeks was not enough time. We’d go back in a second!

First of all about Las Caletas. This was booked and coordinated through Vallarta Adventures. It was booked over a year ago and at first the communication was slow but once we had our deposit down, we felt more secure. The real communication with them started closer to the wedding date back in November.

Once we got to Mexico, the wedding planner met us at the hotel and went though all the details. The day of they were amazing! The girls went over first thing in the morning and spend all day there in a little bridal suite. They do an excellent job of making sure the bride is relaxed and does not have to worry about anything. On our wedding day, the tide was high and wiped out the beach our wedding was supposed to be on. They dealt with this and found another spot and looked after everything we needed all day. The lunch they brought us was amazing.

The wedding itself was more amazing than I could have ever imagined. The groom and rest of the guests came over just before the ceremony. The ceremony was at sunset and it gets dark immediately after. Once it’s dark, the place is breathtaking. It is mainly lit by candlelight. The dinner is under a covered shelter overlooking the beach. The food was amazing! It was a buffet and many people had seconds and even thirds. I had heard it was good but I did not expect it to be that good.

The drinks were good and not weak unlike the ones at the hotel. The reception was held on the beach; a raised platform was used as the dance floor and they set up chairs and a bonfire beside it. It was absolutely beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone, especially those looking for a private location. Our guests cannot stop talking about how beautiful the location was.

Now for the hotel. We have stayed at two other Decameron’s before and we really like them. We knew more or less what kind of ambiance and service to expect. Some of our guests who have traveled to nicer resorts knew the difference but the first timers in the group (there were a lot) liked it. The food was fine, there were always lots of options and something for everyone.

Mexican night in particular was really good at the buffets. There were 4 a la cartes and we went to 3 during our stay. They’re all good, with the best one being the Italian one. You can purchase better wine at the a la cartes for a reasonable amount (the house wine and wine at the bars are undrinkable. The drinks were watered down but if you aid something they’d make them stronger. The buffets did get boring after two weeks but one of the reason we chose this hotel was the location.

There are countless restaurants in Bucerias, and a lot of our guest dined out almost everyday. Lots of great little bars and a coffee shop are conveniently located right across the street. We did a group zip lining tour through Vallarta adventures which was a blast.

The best part of the hotel was its staff, they are all very friendly and do a great job. The grounds are maintained very well, there is always someone doing paint touch ups, and the rooms are cleaned spotlessly daily.

Overall, we were really happy with everything! We rented a condo in Punta Mita for two nights the second week and it was nice break. Mitch got bit by a stingray so we had to have a doctor extract the venom but other than that we had an awesome time and we can’t wait to go back!

Dreams Punta Cana Resort Wedding – Punt Cana, Dominican Republic

OUR WEDDING WAS AMAZING!! LOVE WESTJET, DREAMS RESORTS, & OUR TRAVEL AGENTS BILL & MARIA!!!

Our resort was beautiful, and well kept. It was very clean, amazing food, awesome staff, cute rooms. The beach wasn’t great as the majority you are not allowed to swim due to coral. They have a small sectioned off area on the left side that you are allowed to swim. We went to Dreams La Romana last year and the beach is much nicer and more swim-able.

All the food and drinks were very fresh and the staff seemed to be very diligent. We did love the resort and the staff really do go out of there way to make your stay pleasurable, and really are great with weddings!

Would definitely recommend Bill and Maria’s services! My wedding was in crisis mode and in a time crunch due to another travel agencies errors. Bill and Maria swooped in when we contacted them and saved the day! Very understanding of our situation and amazing with staying in contact so we knew what was going on. Got us great prices too! Thanks Bill & Maria!!

Grand Bahia Principe Akumal Resort Wedding – Mayan Riviera

OUR WEDDING EXPERIENCE WAS ABOVE OUR EXPECTATIONS. WE COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE.

The resorts wedding coordinator and assistant went beyond to make our wedding a day to remember. A week before our wedding the wedding coordinator met with us to review the wedding and all of the details and options. She made great suggestions about food selection, restaurant location, reception, and the wedding cake that we do not regret. I am not very detailed and knowledgeable about how weddings should go, so luckily our coordinator was.

Our resort was awesome. It was huge! The staff were so friendly and went beyond to accommodate any questions and requests. The resort had a bit of everything: if you wanted to party, they had the disco, lot’s of shows, staff around the pool playing games and playing music, and different areas around the resort and beach that wanted to socialize.

If you needed more quiet time, they had private lobby’s that were small, parts of beaches that were quiet, and pools that were more secluded. The resort had something that would fit with your mood at all times. The food and drinks were amazing too! The buffets were massive and had a ton of selection. They had a great drink menu :)

We were very impressed with Bill and Maria. They did their best to accommodate our group’s request, and they were very knowledgeable about destination wedding planning and were able to suggest resorts that had high reviews with providing destination wedding services. They were very prompt in their responses to any questions we had and went beyond to answer these. I would totally recommend them to anyone who is planning a destination wedding. They were able to make the experience the least stressful as possible!

Mediterranean Cruise & Greek Island Wedding Ceremony

Cruise & Island Wedding – Santorini, Greece

The wedding was very romantic! The highlights of the trip would be the photographer, where he did an amazing job with photos, and I am very happy. We were able to do our own exploring Istanbul, so we didn’t have to long a wait for touring the sultan’s palace and getting into the Mosques there at all, I was pleasantly surprised. I honestly don’t think you need tours to go to those places. In the museums and some of the places in Greece we noticed you can buy cheap headsets to listen to a recorded informational lesson about pieces in the museum as well. The tour in Izmir was well worth the money we paid for it, I thought it was neat they ended our tour of Ephaseus with a Turkish leather fashion show.

The destination was Greece and Turkey, and it was amazing. The sights were beautiful and historical. The cruise ship I have to admit was very nice and the housekeeping people there had the best service out of everyone on that ship. The entertainment was definitely something that stood out for us though, they had some great entertainment on that cruise ship. We liked a small group of people on that ship(Met a really awesome Australian couple and their friends).

The hotel we stayed in Athens was amazing and had amazing service, one of the ladies sat the reception went above and beyond for us. We were having trouble finding places to cash traveler’s cheques, and she made tons of phone calls to see if the ride taking us to the port could stop and take us somewhere to do it. In the end, she found out for us the cruise ship could do it for us. So that was a weight off our chest. I have to say Turkey (Istanbul and Izmir), Santorini, Mykonos, and Rhodes were our favorite places. We both had a fantastic time in Santorini and was very sad to leave, We really liked our hotel as well and very convenient to get to the black beach and the nightlife. The wedding day and the sunset in Oia the next day are moments we will both cherish for the rest of our lives, very romantic. :).

Holiday Network (the people that gave us our vouchers and arranged pick up) were very efficient and on time, I have to say it was nice knowing we had ridden from the airports to and from and from our hotel to the port. It made everything less of a hassle for us. I am sure we could have gotten by without that though, but since it was our honeymoon, the pampering was nice. :) We went to paradise beach and had a blast! Jason is not much a partier, but the party on that beach was insane! We had so much fun even though it was a very short one, and if we didn’t go exploring right away, we would have missed out on that part. The Cruising was good for the leisure and stress-free part of our trip.

Bill & Maria, I liked the service you provided us, all the emails and questions were answered efficiently and effectively, and you guys kept us up to date with supplier information and made sure we had what we needed. If I had friends that needed help with their destination wedding I would recommend you. :) Thanks for all your help.

Barcelo Punta Cana Resort Wedding – Dominican Republic

We couldn’t have dreamed of a better wedding. The wedding coordinator Ariana was absolutely fantastic. We met with her the day after we arrived at the resort and within an hour we had all the flowers, food and all small details worked out. We felt very relieved after our meeting! The vacation itself was also simply amazing. Having 64 of our close friends and family being there truly made the whole experience unforgettable. We kept saying that this is a once in a lifetime vacation, I don’t think we will have the opportunity again to travel to such a beautiful country with our loved ones.

We thought our resort was excellent and beautiful! it had lots of open air and a definite beachy feeling to it. We had looked at tons of other resorts when originally deciding which resort to go to. Lots of other resorts had a more modern look to them, very hotelish like but what I loved about the Barcelo Punta Cana was the whole decor made you definitely feel like you were in the Dominican. A few of the blocks have recently gone under major renovations are beautiful inside.

All of the a la carte restaurants were very good and the beach was BEAUTIFUL! Blue waters and white sand. Barely any seaweed. A few of our guests took a walk down the shoreline to other resorts and they said that our beach was by far the best. The other resort’s beaches were much narrower and not as clear of the water.

Transat was a pretty good supplier and they sent coupons prior to departure for free drinks and free snacks which were nice and upon check-in at the Winnipeg Airport. We were treated like royalty, being able to skip the line and they also allowed us the extra weight for our luggage. They also offered to bump us up to first class, however, we kindly declined, because we did not feel right sitting up there while the rest of our guests were in economy. Plus we wanted to be able to easily socialize with our guests on the way down. We did two excursions while in Punta Cana, one zip line tour and a catamaran. The zip line one was very fun!

Bill and Maria, you were awesome! Our trip wasn’t for almost two years after originally contacting you and there were probably thousands of e-mails exchanged over the course of that time. Our e-mails were always quickly answered and if you didn’t know an answer to a question, you would find out and get back to us in record time. We always felt completely confident that all of our and our guest’s travel arrangements were in your hands.

Because we do not know anyone that had a destination wedding, we felt pretty lost with all the planning business as it’s completely different than a normal wedding. You guys were always there to answer a question, travel-related or not! You both are so knowledgeable and friendly, couldn’t ask for more! You really walked us through the entire process. We have heard of horror stories of other travel agents who claim to be destination wedding specialists and we could not be happier that we found you! You can tell that you truly have a passion for what you do. We could not have done this without you! So thank you SO SO very much for going above and beyond. We would highly recommend you to others, as we have already done so and will continue to do. We know that we have found lifetime travel agents!!!

The wedding coordinator was so helpful and made the whole planning process so easy! Everything was exactly how she said it would be and it was just beautiful! Our pictures are amazing!

Absolutely loved our resort and so did all of our guests!! The location was just gorgeous, very lush. Lots of greenery, flowers, little water falls. And it’s setting makes it seem like you’re in the jungle. Everyone loved their rooms! So nice, and so many room options to accommodate everyone. Regular rooms, family suites, deluxe rooms, etc. They were very clean as well..

We Would Absolutely recommend Bill & Maria’s Services!! You guys were awesome to deal with!

Majestic Colonial Resort Wedding – Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Good morning Bill and Maria! David and I just wanted to let you both know that we had the greatest week in Punta Cana. The resort was gorgeous, exactly how we pictured it and more! the staff and service were great… highly recommended for future bride and groom. The check-in went nice and smooth and we got our room upgraded! Ocean view!! 2 seconds from the beach, we couldn’t believe it.

The wedding was exactly how we wanted it with the awesome weather for the whole week we were there and the wedding coordinator I was assigned to was exceptional!! No stress at all, whatsoever : )

We were extremely happy with your service and all your help with the wedding/vacation planning. Thank you very much for everything, such as being prompt and communicating with our group and answering all our questions. My guests were very thrilled and sooo happy to be there. We all had a good time

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

RIU Tropical Palace Resort Wedding – Negril, Jamaica

Our wedding day at the Riu Tropical Palace in Negril was wonderful. The Day before the wedding we met up with Ann Marie the Wedding coordinator to go over all the wedding details for the next day. The day of the wedding was beautiful they set up a nice ceremony on the beach with chairs for our guest, and an archway decorated in beautiful tropical flowers. We had great weather blue skies, we hired a Mento band which I would recommend, they did a great job playing reggae music (Bob Marley to be exact) and they also came to our reception as well and played a song they wrote for us to dance too.

The ceremony was short and sweet and our minister was excellent. Ann Marie took care of everything the day of our wedding we just had to show up and everything else was taken care of, worry free. Our reception was held at the steak house restaurant, where we got one side of it. It was set up with a head table beautiful flowers on all the tables. The food was excellent, they made us a chocolate wedding cake and we got to toast with champagne. The restaurant was open concept so we were facing the beach and the sun was setting which was beautiful and made it so romantic i will never forget how the sky looked that night!

The resort was excellent wonderful food such a selection and the a la carte restaurant was very good as well and not hard to make reservations. We ate at the Italian and crystal restaurants, and they had very good food with big servings. The service was excellent and the staff made it a very pleasant vacation anything you wanted they would pretty much get for you. The rooms were clean and the housekeepers came around twice a day. If you leave a little something for them they will make things with towels and flowers which was beautiful.

The employees at the resort were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is very close to the beach, so we had an ocean view room which was gorgeous and the water is crystal clear, and amazing blue. There’s shopping just a walk down the beach where there are many vendors set up, and also lots of activities offered right on the beach like para-sailing, jet skiing, and lots more. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Bill and Maria were great as they helped us in picking a spot to have our wedding. If we had any question we could either call or email them and they would get back to us very quickly. There is a lot of little things to think about when having a destination wedding and Bill and Maria made it a lot easier. I would definitely recommend there services to others.

Barcelo Huatulco Resort Wedding

I have to say we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. We had a group of 48 people, friends, and family who made the trip with us…thanks. The day of the wedding was perfect. At first, we thought that it wasn’t going to go well as there was no rehearsal and the actual planning on the first day was really brief.

But after the night was said and done, it went perfectly, a big thanks to Kristell, our wedding coordinator. We would have to say the highlight of the wedding was definitely the reception as the dinner was excellent and the speeches that our wedding party and family came up with were amazing… not to forget the weather. We love Huatulco and will definitely be going back!!!!!

We were really happy with the choice we made for our resort….the Barcelo Huatulco. The atmosphere was perfect for a large group. During the day they had music pumping poolside with games and all sorts of activities. Overall the food was really good and of what we remember the drinks were excellent. The hotel itself was really nice, really comfortable and clean, they had staff cleaning all the time.

The thing we loved with Signature was the discounts received for the number of people booked with the group, it really worked in our favor with the number of people we had.

Bill and Maria, you guys rock!!!! Highly recommended. They were really helpful with any questions we had, and believe me, we had tons. I have already given their contact information to several friends and family members. Thanks for all your help.

Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort Wedding

The wedding experience was amazing. The wedding coordinator delivered on everything we had discussed & there wasn’t one issue all day long. The transportation to and from the site was prompt, the food was quite good and the room for the cocktail hour was very nice & the ceremony site was beautiful.

The minister was also very charismatic – that was one thing I really enjoyed. I would highly recommend this particular site to anyone that is thinking about getting married down south and was unsure where to go. A great experience from top to bottom.

The resort was massive – that surprised the entire group. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from and the entertainment provided nightly was a nice touch (it was hit and miss though in terms of quality), However, the Colonial lobby brought bands in on a nightly basis, which made for a great party atmosphere!

The pool area was amazing, great swim up bar, the beach outstanding – very clean. The food at the buffets was some of the best I’ve had traveling to date – plenty of choices. The staff was great and you can tell they have looked after.

I thought you guys were great – I have told people that I would recommend you to anyone that is interested in doing the same thing. You guys were always very prompt with both of us & quick to respond with information and requests when we threw questions and inquires your way. When we renew our nups in 10 or 15 years, you’ll be hearing from us again.

Trevor & Saima – Winnipeg, Wedding Date: January, 2011

Iberostar Costa Dorada Resort Wedding – Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Our wedding was great! All the details were taken care of in less than half an hour and stress-free! We had our wedding under the gazebo. The flowers were gorgeous, the three amigos band were fun and the whole feel was light and carefree which was exactly what we wanted. After our ceremony, there was champagne for everyone and then magically our guests were lined up with rice to toss at us when we walked past them.

The reception was at the Seafood Restaurant which was beautifully set up. We didn’t have to plan any kind of seating arrangement at all… the wedding coordinators at the resort took care of every detail for us. We chose the buffet style and everyone loved the food. After dinner, we had our cake and it was so tasty and beautiful. Then we had a dance in the middle of the restaurant. All the staff helped make it very special for us.

To top it all off our wedding coordinator was able to arrange another evening for all of our guests and us to have dinner together. The opened up the Brazilian restaurant on a day it is normally closed and reserved it just for us at the 6:30 pm seating. With such a large group, our wedding day and that dinner was the only time we were all together at once, so this meant a lot to us.

We have to say the resort was great! The cleanliness, the food, the pools, the bars, the grounds, everything exceeded our expectations. But the most important thing was how wonderful the staff were. Every staff member was very pleasant, helpful and happy. The star friends (entertainment crew) always wanted to have fun and offered lots of activities to participate in but never forced you… which is wonderful! The restaurants and shows in the evening were great as well. Our group had a few requirements for wheelchairs, and large families that needed combined rooms and everything we asked for was accommodated.

As clients that live 8 hours north of Winnipeg, it was so important to find someone that was personable, knowledgeable and accommodating as we were usually only in on the weekends. You went above and beyond our expectations. Whenever we were in you made time for us and invited us to your home to discuss our destination wedding. You were always prompt when we called or emailed you and it seemed you always had time to discuss any concern we had.

With a group of our size (over 50 people), they were so many challenges that had to be met in order for our wedding to work. Guests from other countries and provinces, guests with special requirements such as wheelchair accessibility and adjoining rooms for large families just to name a few. I happy to say that each of our guests was accommodated and had a wonderful time. As a bride, a groom, knowing your guests are taken care of and happy is such a wonderful feeling!

It was comforting to us knowing you yourselves had a destination wedding in the Caribbean because you could really relate to our situation. You were very patient and caring and we could tell you really had our best interests at heart.

In the end, we wound up with more than we had hoped for in both a resort and our wedding and we couldn’t be more grateful to you both.

Barcelo Maya Palace Resort Wedding – Mayan Riviera

Me and my husband booked our destination wedding through Bill and Maria and couldn’t have been more pleased. They found us great deals for all our 40 guests and were very patient with all our many questions and concerns. Even dealing with my many phone calls and easing all my many worries and nerves of having a wedding so far away.

We got married Feb. 19th, 2010 at the Barcelo Maya Palace All Inclusive Resort in Mayan Riviera, Mexico. It was AMAZING!!! From the ceremony on their private beach down by the pier and the pool side reception under the stars to the five course lobster and steak dinner, decor and floral choices.

We wouldn’t of had it any other way! And to think I dreamed my whole life of having a huge wedding here at home, but destination was far more amazing then i could have ever dreamed!

Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort Wedding – Montego Bay, Jamaica

Our trip to Jamaica was truly WONDERFUL!! I still get very nostalgic when I think of Jamaica (and the Royal Caribbean Sandals Resort), and we are already making plans to go there again.

Our time there was perfect! The weather was nice all the time – warm and humid of course, but that was expected. We had a few rain showers, but it only lasted a few minutes (which was nice and refreshing) and you’re dry a few minutes after the rain anyway.

The resort, beaches, and the ocean were perfect. Always clean, well maintained and comfortable/convenient. What we liked about Royal Caribbean was the fact that is was not too big. Everything was easily accessible and the staff very helpful. The people (staff) were amazing – always very friendly and fun. We made a few friends.

We also met some other couples (everyone there is on honeymoon too) and had a good time making new friends. We participated in all the activities (especially the volleyball) and won a few bottles of rum due to our points earned. The activities they offer was a great way to have fun, and meet more people.

Our wedding day was perfect :) unfortunately, the wind was blowing and we got rained on, but it was wonderful nonetheless. The ceremony was beautiful. The minister was very funny and very thoughtful, as well as the other staff. Everyone was very helpful in planning the day in order to make it perfect. We booked a romantic dinner for 2 in the gazebo where we had the ceremony. The skies were clear, and it was the highlight of the evening.

Going for 2 weeks instead of only 1 week was a great idea. Only halfway through the 1st week we found our feet and really enjoyed the resort. We had enough time to dine at all the restaurants, take part in all the activities, and still have enough downtime to just enjoy the sun.

Thank you so much for everything you did for us. This Jamaica trip was really the highlight of my life (so far). I will always treasure the experience and will reference all of my friends and family to you. You helped make a dream come true for us!

Thank you to our wonderful travel agents, Bill & Maria, for all your help getting us off to paradise, and what a paradise it was!!!

Puerto Plata was more beautiful then my dreams. We miss it there already and hope to go back again someday. Our wedding went off without a single bump, everything was perfect. Everyone was having such a great time.

Take care, Thanks again for everything!
